Joey Peavey is a young, renowned New England-based guitarist and keyboardist. He has toured across the country and has over 700 public performances to his name. A multi-faceted musician, he actively works with many groups including award-winning Boston-based wedding band Closing Time, one of the nation's top Queen tributes Kings of Queen, Rhode Island's The D-Train Jazz Band, whose members have played with Chuck Berry, Neil Young, and Emile Ardolino, and his own NH-based rock band Crescendo's Gate, who has played at SNHU Arena, Foxwoods Casino, and the Hard Rock Café in Boston.
Joey's love for music traces all the way back to age 8, when he took his first guitar lesson. From there, he fell in love with the instrument and yearned to play in front of large audiences. Just a couple years later, he made his performance debut in front of a crowd of 700 at his elementary school playing the song "Back in Black" by AC/DC. From there, his love for performing skyrocketed.
Currently, Joey is studying music therapy at the University of Rhode Island (ant. 2025) and hopes to impact the lives of those in need through the clinical and scientific application of music. In his free time, he gives piano and guitar lessons to children, teens and adults including adapted lessons for students with special needs.
